Greetings again everyone, Nancy and I are overwhelmed by the love and support that we have received from so many people, including many whom we don't know. We have received many emails of support and encouragement. Many have spread these updates far and wide. Letters and cards have also been coming in. Neighbors have brought over numerous meals. Many have sent us books, tapes, literature and even some health products (vitamins, apricot pits, teas, etc.). Some have sent money to help with the seemingly overwhelming expenses. But most of all many have sent their prayers upward and are reaching out to Nancy with their spirit for her healing. Thanks so much everyone for everything. It really is a joy to read the emails to Nancy and to watch her read the cards and letters. She is so touched and warmed by the tremendous flow of concern sent her direction. She even got a package of cards from a third grade class in northern Oklahoma. Well, another week has gone by since my last update. Last week I told of her decision to go with a treatment program advocated by Dr. Richard Schulze. (A program very similar to this can be found at http://www.healthfree.com/health/rescue/index.html.) Last week Monday, we went to Norman, Oklahoma, where we met an individual by the name of Wayne Farris who had gone through the Schulze program himself. He is a wealthy oil man and spent nearly a million of his own dollars trying to fix himself via conventional methods even ending up at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Then he turned natural and found Richard Schulze. After his own healing he has become passionate about this stuff and even opened up his own botanical pharmacy. He makes sure that all his "potions" are fresh, organic, pure and potent. He sunk half a million dollars into this venture and plans to never make a dime off it. It's his passion to help people pursue a natural healing. We were very pleased with what we saw and obtained most of the program from him. (BTW, he also has a website: http://heartlandbotanicals.com.) We then spent the next few days acquainting ourselves with the ins and outs of the program determining what all else we needed to get. Thursday came and we fetched all the organic vegetables and enema stuff and every other little thing that we would need. Next, we needed a place. You see, we're in the process of building a house and we are currently living in temporary quarters consisting of an outhouse and a camper for a kitchen. Well, some friends in Arkansas were planning on being in Texas most of the next month so they insisted that we use their place. So on Friday we packed up the car and headed on over to Arkansas. Saturday morning we began the program. Every 30, 45 or 60 minutes Nancy is supposed to either take something, drink something or do something from 7:00am to 10:00pm. Getting well is a full time job. I was very involved the first couple of days but it is now becoming mostly routine. I (or someone) still needs to help during the hydrotherapy sessions and at other times. So, how is she doing? It seems that she is doing very well. The last couple of days she has felt very good. I mentioned last time of her loosing her hair and that we finally buzzed off the rest. Well, the buzzing off left a good number of stubbies in certain areas. She had not lost any of her bangs so she had a thick area of hair stubs there. There were also a few other areas that were still fairly thick. Well, since then, most of the thick areas have even come out so now her scalp is pretty much like a slick billiard ball. Friday evening, my son and I got our heads buzzed. I'm still getting used to no hair. It looks like I might even shave my scalp to get that slick look. Is my wife a trend setter or what?! An interesting thing happened last Sunday. Nancy has begun to realize that she needs to reduce her fears and negative and hateful emotions and begin to work on forgiveness and her self-esteem. Well, Norman and I had gone back home to fetch a few things and when we returned there was a thing or two that caused her to go into a negative fit. She realized what was happening and wanted so badly to let go but didn't know how. During the "negative attack" she began to hurt right where her cancer is. She's beginning to see a connection with her "negativeness" and her disease. Once she became positive again, the hurt went away. I hope to get more into this aspect of Nancy's situation next time. Suffice it to say, progress is being made in this area of the mind and body connection. Well, I guess I best close for now. Again, thank you all so much for everything that every one of you have done for Nancy. It is so much appreciated. God bless you all. Love, Norman P.S., Just as a repeat… for those who don't know and/or are reading this update as the first one, if anyone wishes to help in some way, prayers, cards and emails are always helpful.
