Subject: Update #9: Our new trial-Nancy's cancer

Good morning everyone,

There is not much to report on for this past week. Last Thursday we went to Tulsa for some blood work for Nancy. What they did was to take some blood and send it off to some lab somewhere. Dr. Robbins then requested that she come back in the next week (which is later today) to discuss the test results and to then discuss various options that he would propose. These, of course, we will consider along with all the other options all of the other doctors have put forth.

What we anticipate is that there will be evidence of some remaining cancer, the extent of which we don't know. I was slightly in error as to the actual tests that were performed on her blood. Cancer cells spit out certain proteins called antigens. Different cancers spit out different antigens, so there are different tests for the various cancer antigens (CA). The tests that I mentioned last week did not look for lymphoma antigens. They were good for a host of other cancers.

The tests that were supposedly done this past week were Immunoglobulin tests, specifically:

Immunoglobulin G, Quantitative, Serum

Immunoglobulin A, Quantitative, Serum

We are about to leave to go up the road about three hours for the third week in a row. Tulsa is a nice place but we are getting tired of the trip. We will be coming back tomorrow evening. Hopefully by the next update we will have some concrete information to report.

Well, we're heading to Tulsa soon so I need to end this.

Again, thanks to all.

Love,

Norman
